The project aims to achieve a Technological Development of an energy efficient and environmentally sustainable process for transforming solid state urban waste (RSU) into Hydrogen (H2), through the application of microwave technology (TMW). This technology has a great future by focusing on a product like the H2, with high expectations in the market, with economic and commercial projection at an international level. Microwave treatment in a process of this type is a radical change and improvement in the current thermochemical processes necessary, and aims to be the key to making waste treatment with maximum energy efficiency, selectively treating more volume of waste processed per unit. of time.
The general objective of the project is the analysis, design, experimental development and optimization of a scalable and non-marketable prototype. Therefore, an experimental prototype will be made that will allow the pre-industrializable process to be designed, based on the results obtained from the experimentation and the initial design.
